Community Support

Making a

difference

The Ihamba family strongly believes in supporting the communities within which it is situated, with the objective of playing an active role in the preservation of the local culture, as well as the economic uplifting of the community members. Integral to our culture and fabric is the intentional recruitment and hospitality training of the youth, from within the community, with the purpose of integrating them into the Ihamba Lodge workforce.

Ihamba also supports its local farmers through sourcing and purchasing produce, fresh fish, and meats, as well as coffee. We also facilitate and support tourists that visit Ihamba to offer education sponsorships and scholastic materials necessary for children in the community to attend school.
